Let’s face it, sometimes life just doesn’t seem to go right. Sometimes, it messes us up in ways we might find quite difficult to handle. May it be losing someone or something dear to us (a friend, a lover, a job, a family member, a prized object, a house, a car, social status, etc) or may it even be facing the consequences of some wrong decisions we’ve made. At some point, somehow, everybody experiences some kind of major struggle they have to face.
Remember that no problem is too big nor too small for anyone. We all face our own set of these. It’s all in the matter of how we deal with them. And a bit of positive thinking and positive attitude could help you (or anyone) go a long way. So here are a few pointers to Stay Positive (and probably ways on maintaining sanity) when life calls us for battle.
I must admit though, at the aftermath of any hardship, it is one of the most difficult things to do. You might find it quite hard to do this at first as we are blinded by the pain. But we, as humans, are habitual beings. So I suggest to start observing this even just slowly. Even just by being grateful for the simple things like, say, having to go to work. Be thankful you even have a job to go to. Gradually as we start being more thankful, miracles happen. I mean, I’m no spiritual leader or something like that but being even just a bit thankful or even just appreciative opens doors to good things.
Refocus Your Energy (to things that would benefit you)
Cut the booze. Well, sure we need a couple bottles to get by and maybe a few cigarettes too. But it’d be more fruitful (and beneficial to your Self) if you allot your energy source to learning a new skill, or language.
Rearrange Your Mindset
And also, get out of your head once in a while. This is one of the most difficult things to do at the aftermath of any kind of major life quake. We get stuck, or at least we feel like it.
Take Good Care Of Yourself
When life is at its darkest, this is the time when we need ourselves the most. Life surprises us with challenges that somehow leave us overwhelmed, puzzled, confused, and all those crap. Understand that no other person can take care of us the way we should. Only our own Self is the ultimate care takers of our selves. It is our responsibility. So, we ought to listen to what our self (inner sense of self) is trying to tell us is trying to tell us.
Love Yourself. Or Maybe Treat Yourself
This is the moment when we need it most. Do what you love, what you’re passionate about. Chill out and breathe. Do the things that you’re passionate about. And always be gentle to yourself.
There’s a couple of reasons and ways to find beauty even in chaos. Sometimes we just have to look a bit harder. But once we find it, it makes Staying Happy And Positive easier. It provides anyone a new light even a new kind of hope. Let go and have faith – to your God, to your belief, to the universe, to a Higher power, to whatever you have faith in. Nature has its way around things. Somehow we just need to learn to trust it.
